Calendar Unplaced Scenes

Unplaced scenes have no resolved start date. Expand the list and open a scene to review its time settings; a relative phrase alone may not establish a calendar date.

Why Scenes Are Unplaced

The Calendar needs a resolved start date to place a scene on the grid. Scenes without one remain in Unplaced scenes, even if they contain a phrase such as later that night. Relative timing text can describe your intention without establishing a specific day.

The list covers the selected book scope across all months and excludes archived scenes. When no scenes have dates, the Calendar shows No dated scenes yet and you can still review the unplaced list.

Reviewing an Unplaced Scene

1. Expand Unplaced scenes using the scene-count button. 2. Find the scene by its title, book, chapter and scene number. Any relative timing text is shown as a clue. 3. Choose Open scene and review its time settings. Set or correct the date if the story needs one. 4. Save your changes and reload the Calendar to check placement.

You do not have to invent a precise date just to clear this list. Leaving timing loose can be useful while drafting. Prioritise scenes whose dates matter for travel, deadlines, alibis or other continuity questions.
