Characters Present

This section lists characters attached to the selected scene. Read the role and presence labels beneath each name: an attached or mentioned character is not necessarily physically in the scene's primary location.

Understanding the Columns

Column Meaning
Character The character and recorded role or presence in this scene. The name opens character editing.
Age at this point Age based on the character's saved age information and the scene's timing. Approximate and Unknown distinguish limited evidence.
Known location The recorded location at this point. Last known means it is carried forward from earlier evidence.

First recorded appearance means no earlier attached appearance was found. It does not mean this is the character's birth or first mention in prose. If an age or location looks wrong, inspect the character and scene records before changing your manuscript.

Previous appearance The preceding recorded appearance in reading order, including earlier books.
