Writing problems
Your series has become too big to remember reliably
A new book sends you back through earlier volumes to check names, promises, ages or rules. You may remember the intended version more clearly than what was actually established.
How PlotDirector can help
Start here
Project · books and series
A shared project keeps the book sequence and routes to common story records together.
Keep the books in one project so their order and shared story records are accessible from the same place.
Look for Established facts in earlier books, the book introducing each one and the later passage that relies on it.

Why this happens
Each book adds facts and changes to a shared world. Reliable continuity requires knowing both the statement and the point in the series where it applies.
A fact remembered from an early plan may never have reached the published or established draft. Check the actual source before treating the planning note as something later books must preserve.
What to look for
- Find the source book and scene for disputed facts
- Distinguish permanent details from time-dependent states
- Check whether later books revise, explain or contradict the earlier account
