Writing problems
Your points of view are becoming difficult to balance
One narrator carries long sections while another appears mainly to supply information. You may be unsure whether the pattern feels purposeful or simply reflects the order in which you drafted.

Timeline · character appearances
POV labels let you follow which narrator carries each stretch of the manuscript.
Read the character and POV labels attached to scene cards in manuscript order. Use scene details to check whose presence is recorded.
Look for Long absences, repeated coverage and essential scenes that only one viewpoint can provide.

Why this happens
Different viewpoints do not need equal space. Problems can arise when access to a perspective changes without a clear narrative reason, or when its promised role is not developed.
A short viewpoint strand can still have a clear purpose if it offers an experience unavailable elsewhere. A longer strand can feel unnecessary if it repeatedly supplies what another narrator already provides.
What to look for
- Map which viewpoint carries each major turn
- Check long switches and returns for reorientation
- Compare each perspective's unique access and dramatic work
