Name Locale

Locale influences the usage profile shown for each name; it does not assign a nationality or background to your character.

Choosing a Locale

Choose a locale appropriate to the character's naming background. All locales lets profiles from any available locale be considered; each result still shows one selected profile, not an average of all locales.

A name may remain in the results without a profile for the selected locale. Do not interpret that as proof the name is impossible there. Check the Profile column and broaden the context if needed.

When a book is selected under Used scope, its saved primary locale can fill a blank locale choice. To browse without book defaults, select Project under Used scope and All locales, then Search.
